Cardiac Nurse Specialist appointed

Sister Terese Twomey has commenced this week as the new Cardiac Nurse Specialist at Jersey General Hospital. This new position includes the role that Sister Jackie Tardival had been providing with the cardiac rehabilitation service. In addition, the new role will include looking at establishing a dedicated heart failure service and coordinating care for patients with cardiac rhythm disturbances.

All patients who have a heart attack, undergo angioplasty and stenting, receive cardiac surgery, have a pacemaker of defibrillator fitted or who undergo ablation therapy are invited to attend the service. For more information contact Sister Twomey on 01534 622000 bleep 705.
