The Jersey Heart Team has relied on charitable funds to support new heart equipment purchases, local heart research, as well as patient and staff education. Our heart research unit – The Allan Lab – is totally dependant on charitable funding. If you would like to make a donation to directly support heart research in Jersey, then please contact Andrew.
There are also two main heart charities in Jersey and we would please ask that you consider them during your next fund raising event.
The Jersey Heart Support Group was established by patients for patients. They aim to raise awareness of heart disease, promote exercise and health and raise funds to enhance heart care in Jersey. The group have been extremely effective in providing Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) to all schools in Jersey. Please visit the webpage of the Jersey Heart Support Group at www.jerseyheartsupportgroup.org to find out more:
Much of the research into new treatments and procedures that benefit heart patients in Jersey have been funded by the British Heart Foundation (BHF). The Jersey Branch of the BHF was launched in 2015 to help support the work the organisation does throughout the UK.
