Charity

The Jersey Heart Team has relied on charitable funds to support new heart equipment purchases, local heart research, as well as patient and staff education. Our heart research unit  – The Allan Lab – is totally dependant on charitable funding. If you would like to make a donation to directly support heart research in Jersey, then please contact Andrew.

Our main heart charity in Jersey is the Jersey Heart Support Group and we would please ask that you consider them during your next fund raising event.

Jersey Heart Support Group

The Jersey Heart Support Group was established by patients for patients. They aim to raise awareness of heart disease, promote exercise and health and raise funds to enhance heart care in Jersey. The group have been extremely effective in providing Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) to all schools in Jersey. Please visit the webpage of the Jersey Heart Support Group at jhsg.org.je to find out more:

The Jersey Research Foundation

Our other main charity is The Jersey Research Foundation (www.jrf.je) which has supported some of our heart research programmes. For example Jersey was one of the first places in the world to use a novel AI imaging technology for clinical purposes and thanks to support from the Jersey Research Foundation, we were able to explore the clinical impact of the technology and publish this at national congress. More information here.
