WHAT IS IT ?

A Kardia device is a hand-held heart rhythm monitoring device made by AliveCor. It connects to your smartphone allowing you to make and record your heart rhythm at the time that you get symptoms. The software then makes and analysis of the rhythm and will tell you if it is normal or not. The recordings can be saved, emailed or printed out to show your Doctor.

 

HOW IS IT PERFORMED ?

The device records your heart rhythm at the time that you have symptoms. Simply rest two fingers on each electrode and the device will record your heart beat.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE ?

The recordings are made for 30 seconds

ARE THERE ANY RISKS ?

No.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT ?

Once you have made your recording, the software will automatically make an analysis of the heart rhythm and tell you if it normal or not.
